There will always be bad actors that will take advantage. The leadership of these organizations needs to be vigilant about background checks and accountability
Also, the government shouldn’t be getting involved in how the BSA runs their organization as long as no laws are being broken

I’m glad BSA has made changes. I was a kid in scouts until my dad got stationed at Fort Knox. I quit because one of the older boys was very interested in hanging out with me. I was 12 and he was 17. It was also very poorly run compared to what I was used to in Ohio.
