A gigantic dork, who just happens to serve as an NFL analyst for Bleacher Report and stewards the site's draft coverage/scouting department.

What are the best things in life? Family, friends, football, comic books and good beer. It really is that simple.
Fit is every bit as important as talent regarding a prospect's future NFL success (or failure).

Sam Darnold's rise to Super Bowl champion is a glaring example. The situation in which a top prospect is placed should be discussed more often.

Let's do just that:

Can't blame Jim Schwartz for resigning after being passed over for the Cleveland Browns' head coaching gig.

It's hard to envision a worse scenario for the hapless organization after what looks like another disastrous search.

Only one reason exists why this stuff keeps happening: Ownership.👈

Tony Khan has never been good at striking while the iron is hot regarding talent organically getting over.

With that said, he HAS to put Brody King over and make him world champion.

It's best for AEW business because opportunities where a wrestler draws national interest don't come around often.

No. 1 overall prospect regardless of position. No. 2 isn't particularly close, either.
I understand why Caleb Downs isn't coming off the board super high in mock drafts (his positional value) but I think he's going to absolutely crush the interview process and get pushed up a bit because he'll be viewed as close to a sure thing as we get in the NFL draft.

I didn't realize how toxic it was being a Browns fan, particularly online, after following/covering the team for as long as I did until it finally broke me and left the only NFL team I supported for 40 years.

Now, it's abundantly clear how broken that organization and fanbase really is.

Case in point, the New England Patriots.
Continue to see growing sentiment of investing in surrounding cast BEFORE drafting a quarterback.

Yes, a poor situation is often the downfall of a high draft pick. At the same time, you do NOT pass on a top talent at the game's most important position.

A team can do BOTH things at the same time.
January 26, 2026 at 2:31 PM
I'm now seeing Browns fans argue Baker Mayfield is the "worst" of 2018 first-round QBs (forgetting Rosen).

1. His worst is still better than anyone else Cleveland has fielded at QB.

2. Does anyone REALLY think Darnold/Allen/Jackson would have thrived in Cleveland considering the circumstances?!
