I agree with this post! I snack more when I’m hungry, so I eat fruit, drink water, and add more protein to meals to combat the hunger. This class showed me that protein, fiber, hydration, sleep, and balanced fats help w/ appetite control, health, and self-satisfaction #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

My experience was accurate, I don't eat much and my meals arent too complicated so it was easy to track. My diet didnt surprise me bc I have logged my meals b4 for my nutritionist so I'm not surprised by my eating patterns. I do notice I drink lots more than eat in a day! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

In nutrition class we learned about carbs so this connects. This shows not all carbs are bad since fiber is a carb that helps cholesterol, gut health, and blood sugar.Whole grains, fruits, and veggies matter more than refined carbs and support digestion and health @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Fiber is often the forgotten carbohydrate, even though it plays a major role in gut health, blood sugar, cholesterol, and long term disease risk. Soluble, insoluble, resistant starch, and functional fiber all matter. Here is a breakdown if them. #RealWorldNutrition

I learned carbohydrates are the bodys main source of energy. They breakdown glucose and fuels brain, muscles and helps the body perform daily activities. A fun fact is healthy carbs like whole grains and fruits give longerlasting energy and keep blood sugars more steady @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I reposted this bc my family eats canned tuna and this is good/reliable information. It also relates to my Nutrition and Health class bc we need to keep checking credible organizations like the FDA. We’ve been learning how to avoid exaggerated/misleading health claims. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Something that stood out was the Woodward article showing how headlines can exaggerate small findings because of things like smaller sample size which can throw things out of proportions making one single study weigh more. Now I will check the data before trusting it @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
