I’ve been getting reacquainted with books to redirect all the idle hours spent scrolling.

I like making art.

I love a good puzzle.

I’m raising little humans to think critically, stand up for what’s right, and find laughter where they can.

my latest investigation for @consumerreports.org is based on months of reporting and 60+ lab tests of leading protein supplements

we found that most protein powders and shakes have more lead in one serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day (🧵)

I’ve been seeing references to “building a bigger tent”. But this visual is new-level compelling. It’s chilling to imagine what happens if we can’t figure out how.

I love the representation. Puts what we’re dealing with in perspective.

Feeling appreciative that Costco took the high road, and publicly. They are seeing my dollars that once went to Target.
Target’s stock plummeted by ~ $27.27 per share by the end of February, erasing about $12.4 billion in market value.

The drop came on Feb. 28, the designated economic blackout day, and coincided with mounting backlash over the retailer’s decision to abandon its DEI commitments.

This managed to make me laugh, get sad, and feel hope all at once. Nice.
We just wanted to take a moment to thank all our new supporters! Tomorrow, there will be more of us!

I’m reluctant, but ready to fully delete meta. I deactivate FB often but I have little kids and live in an urban area - marketplace has turned up some gold for otherwise pricey kid gear. Craigslist, Nextdoor& eBay don’t compete. Any app recommendations for buying and selling locally?

i honestly have never seen a political leader so thoroughly destroy their credibility so quickly and, on the other side, it is abundantly clear that if anyone can claim a genuine leadership of large parts of the democratic party, it is AOC.
Folks is it good when your own party's leadership in the House is dropping "listen to the women" and MLK quotes on you while swing state members of your caucus are talking about new leadership

Time will tell if this stands up to the misinformation swirl and echo chambers of present day.
