That's the issue. He is only one man. If all the people around him (the other elected Republicans) said "no", they could stop him easily. They don't. He is far from the only guilty party.

Using an AI-generated video of himself, Donald Trump sought β€œto mock and smear millions of Americans, literally depicting them covered in excrement, precisely so that none of his own supporters would want to join them,” @anneapplebaum.bsky.social argues: https://theatln.tc/wY7pEvxZ

MADELEINE DEAN: The president is unhinged. He's unwell

JOHNSON: A lot of folks on your side are too

D: Oh my god, please. That performance in front of the generals?

J: I didn't see it

D: It's so dangerous! Our allies are looking elsewhere. Our enemies are laughing. You have a POTUS who's unwell.

Unfit for Office
Donald Trump’s narcissism makes it impossible for him to carry out the duties of the presidency in the way the Constitution requires.

Journalist Edward R. Murrow used his platform on CBS to criticize the witch hunts led by Senator Joseph McCarthy in the 1950s.

This is what real journalism should do β€” hold power to account, not capitulate to it.

For the record.

My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers.

I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."

Currently the US Senate is 53/45 with 2 Independents, and the House is 219/212 with 4 vacancies.
Thom Hartmann [via Axios]:
β€œThe simple reality is that five or six Republicans in the House [less than 3%] and two or three or four Republicans in the Senate could stop Trump in his tracks".

How delightfully selective bodily autonomy applies to vaccines but not wombs. Apparently the Constitution protects your right to spread measles but not to choose motherhood. One can only admire such principled inconsistency. Freedom means infecting babies, tyranny means reproductive choice.

Mocking his appearance and speaking style is unnecessary, hypocritical, and Trump-like. However his conspiratorial, delusional, and unscientific actions in the name of national health are more than worthy of ridicule.
