Before I was illegally fired from FSA, some of my most challenging student loan borrower complaints involved problems with TPD. It’s critical that ED is staffed sufficiently to run this program and oversee contractors. New from me for TICAS. #highered #studentdebt

Since mid-March, the Trump administration has blocked me and hundreds of others from doing any work while we continue to receive full pay and benefits.

Glad to see this explainer and the policy change. I deal with colleges that withhold transcripts over bills, and they are NOT nice about it.
The new regs from Department of Ed
include a really strong provision limiting transcript withholding. The changes will make it easier for millions of students to prove they they have the credits they have completed. More on why this is such a big deal in the blog

Department of Education Limits Colleges' Ability to Hold Transcripts.
New rules will prevent colleges and universities from withholding transcripts from students for periods of enrollment they received federal financial aid for and paid their bill in full.
