(Not easy to say, but I’m glad to know it exists).

When columnist Melanie Reid wrote about struggling to find a hairdresser after her spinal injury, 98 year old art historian and socialite Virginia Surtees wrote to her (on a typewriter) offering to taxi round her wigs from her flat in Knightsbridge. I can sleep now.

Want to read a great short poem about London that you've probably never read before? In which Wordsworth sort of sounds like T.S. Eliot? And there's an iambic pentameter entirely made of adjectives for a snowy city street? I have it all right here for you someflowerssoon.substack.com/p/deep-hollo...

This is non-fiction’s Milkman. Devastating, powerful, heartbreaking & breaking open the dark claustrophobia of Republican West Belfast. I’ve never read anything like it. A book can’t undo suffering but this is a remarkable reclamation of agency. 💔

I do this every now and then.

This is Domino. He's one of the dogs that has been the longest at the DSPCA.

Liz and I brought him out for a walk up to the Hellfire Club recently and he is a sweetheart...

What about adopting him?
