Rich eating, lefty. I'm correct about everything.
At some point, some of yous will realize playing Wordle/Connections is a little less important than supporting a paper that covers for p3d0s

You know that piece of shit, who we all know is a p3d0 and has hundreds of credible allegations to that? Well now we got one more.

Just curious - if we consider anyone who served in the military past, say, 1960... what actual benefit to society did they provide?

I realize some have used veteran benefits to make themselves better, but what about the "veteran" part makes them need to be honored?

I think the 8 Dems (The Capitule-8?) suffer from the boomer Dem issue of having a myopic view of current politics. They see people suffering and want to end it, not realizing this is all temporary. They don't see things long term.

The Dems had real leverage to do good, and that's been squandered.

I wonder what the best political play is here? If one of those 8 changes, and shutdown continues... Doesn't that reflect badly on all Democrats? Dems would be "flip floppers". It seems they royally fucked the entire party, and not much else to do.
There will be another 60 vote Friday* on the garbage shutdown deal. If we can convince just one Senator from the 52 republicans and 8 Dems that voted yes to flip, we could still stop this. Please jump on the phone today, call them, and share this widely.

*If all goes by the regular schedule

Remember- she still has shitty views. It's just that she's not horrible on a couple of issues.

Also, she sticks by her shitty views, so at least you know she's consistent and not swayed by public opinion or corporate interests.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "It's absolutely the worst political move to have the House in recess & for us to not be here working...there's a lot of disenfranchised 2024 voters & that was obvious in Tuesday's election. I'm from Georgia & we lost 2 statewide Public Commission seats & lost them heavily."

It's wild. I think Weinstein might be the only who has any accountability, and even that is in limbo now. And he's an absolute monster. That's what it took to get a conviction. Cosby was in jail for a bit, but still has defenders. I can't think of anyone else who had serious consequences.
When people talk about the excesses of MeToo, they have to lie, because the reality is that there was no massive social reckoning forcing people to believe survivors or hold perpetrators accountable. In fact, there has been a significant backsliding and new punishments in rejection of MeToo

"They promise great things, but can't do them. And if they DO them, it's actually bad."

I don't know how anyone takes this guy seriously.
Mike Johnson: "If you run as a socialist, you run on a big list false claims. You promise everything to everyone, and you can't deliver, and if you were able to deliver it would be to the great detriment of the people you lured in to vote for you."

How many think-pieces will there be tomorrow basically saying, "Uh, actually, this is only relevant to NY City. It's says nothing about the rest of country"?

People can spout "purity test" all they want, but that's bullshit.

It's a very base principle to NOT allow discrimination for ANYONE. If you make the choice to add any exceptions to that, you won't ever get my vote. Period. Full stop.

Newsom has already crossed that very basic line.

Did that "Deciding to Win" trash just epically fail? Have seen no mentions since the initial one after release. Good good.

In researching the origins of "bathroom bills" I came across the absolute piece of shit that is John Kavanagh. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ka...

Some highlights:
* Wanted to let businesses not have disability access
* Wanted to remove Sikh man from a 9/11 memorial
* No filming cops, even in public

Democrats are being suckered by Republicans, into thinking Trans Rights is some far-left position they need to stop advocating for. I got curious how we got this place...

Any candidate who wants my vote needs to state that they unequivocally support trans people's right to exist in peace. This is not a big ask.

The list of acknowledgements... whooboy.

How do these ignoramuses not realize you "win" but having principles and advocating for them? That's how Republicans win, they just happen to have really shitty principles.

Be authentic. Don't run polls to find out what you should believe in.

The strength of right wing politics is total support of an authoritarian, with few exceptions. Left wing folk tend to have their specific causes, but no desire for an over arching authority.

Is there some way in the US to create a temporary lefty figure/group we all support?
