I finally gave in and started Unlicensed on Audible. I’m not even one episode in and I’m hooked! This is going to be good, I can tell! I don’t have room for another series in my life right now, but I think I’ll find it. Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor KNOW what they’re doing in the writers room.

There is nothing more soul crushing than being forced to be at a place you are so incredibly unwanted 😭 except for maybe when you know it’s your own damn fault and there’s nothing you can do about it at this point.

6 y/o and I tried out a new bedtime book tonight, one of those books with like 30 short stories in it. The first story was The Velveteen Rabbit, but nobody told me the boy abandons the velveteen rabbit that he loved so much and now instead of a nice relaxing bedtime story, she is sobbing in my bed.

Fluffy (Bearded Dragon) just FREAKED OUT because 6 y/o was flying a stuffed bird around in view of his tank and I realized it was because the poor thing has a lizard brain and he thought that it was a real bird that was going to eat him alive right now immediately. I feel terrible 😭

Fluffy (Bearded Dragon) just FREAKED OUT because 6 y/o was flying a stuffed bird around in view of his tank and I realized it was because the poor thing has a lizard brain and he thought that it was a real bird that was going to eat him alive right now immediately. I feel terrible 😭
I watched The Black Phone the other night and despite there being a lot of unanswered questions, I really enjoyed it. I think I might actually make the trip to the theatre 1.5 hours away just to see the sequel on the big screen, something I haven’t bothered to do since Lisa Frankenstein.

Every day I leave my house I’m so grateful that I live near the ocean. The view, the sounds, the smell. I never want to live away from it.

I’m really struggling with my feelings on this one because on one hand this is a real story involving real people… ☹️ but on the other hand… this really happened to real people 😠

I brought my kid to the fancy backpack places but she had her heart on a mismatched set of unicorn bags from Walmart and I’m trying to overcome my own self imposed biases here because they’re so cheap but like- she loves them and picked them out and that’s what should matter to me. Argh. 😖
