I don't think anyone who's salivating at the prospect of mass political violence or civil war has the foggiest idea of how bad these things are in real life. It's beyond their memory and their imagination.

Chagossians are so fond of Mauritus that they would rather be homeless in England than fifth-class citizens in Port Louis, but somehow the Chagos deal is a triumph for human rights? Truly a shameful moment for international law.

One thought experiment: the £9bn for Chagos (let alone a higher sum, as now reported) could alternatively get Britain much of the way back to spending 0.7% of GNI on overseas aid for the rest of this parliament.

How, from either a moral or soft power perspective, is the Chagos deal preferable?

Genuinely would not be averse to the execution of Axel Rudakubana.

Can't see any benefits in keeping him alive.

Europe is sadly now learning the true nature of vassalage.

We need to rearm now.

Here's to many more great films watched in 2025!

Glory to Ukraine
The latest news suggests there is a new offensive operation underway in Kursk although the scope is unclear.
AFU could attempt another offensive this winter, like the Kursk operation, seeking to shift the narrative and attain more Russian territory to bargain with. This may yield tactical successes, but will come at considerable risk to other parts of the front. 32/
