I use emojis to respond to the memes I’m sent to acknowledge I got them and indicate to them person I was happy to receive them so please send more. Often I use 😆 or even 😂 (millennial cringe that I am) but I would say 96% of the time my face is like this 😐. I’m laughing on the inside I promise.

I’m going to follow a creators advice to just start taking any wins possible. Found a nickel under the couch? Win. Shopping cart that has 4 working wheels? Win. DIDN’T break a toe when it collided violently with the coffee table? Win?

What the crap? I got some emotional whiplash over here. Im going to go read some fanfiction by @hankgreen.bsky.social that is bound to confuse me in other ways but sounds like the brain distraction I need. I personally don’t ship them but who am I to yuck another’s yum.

Unlike others TikTok did not CHANGE my life. But I did find comfort, humor, creativity, entertainment and art that I cherished. I’m heartbroken for those losing a platform that contributed to their livelihood, or gave them a much needed voice.
