Now in UK cinemas, Valley of the Shadow of Death, starring Anthony Wong. A beatifully crafted, sombre drama from Hong Kong, that finds a pastor faced with giving someone forgiveness, whom he thinks doesn't deserve it.

Now out on 4K UHD,BD/DVD, 28 Years Later, starring Alfie Williams & Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Danny Boyle returns to the zombie franchise, but its plot is too thin, so an upcoming sequel can also be accomodated - at this film's expense.

Now on @netflix, Frankenstein, with Oscar Isaac & Jacob Elordi. Guillermo del Toro's adaptation of this classic is what you'd expect visually, gothically grandiose. The script however, suffers from pacing issues during its 2.5 hours.

Now out in UK cinemas, Anemone, starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Sean Bean & Samantha Morton. Day-Lewis comes out of yet another retirement, this time for an emotional heavy drama, directed by his son Ronan, that is utterly draining.

Now on Blu-ray & DVD, The Ritual, starring Al Pacino and Dan Stevens. Although the almost competely handheld cam is irritating, the story, based on a true story of an exorcism of a young woman in 1928, is utterly absorbing.

Now on @netflix , A House of Dynamite, starring Rebbeca Ferguson, Jared Harris and Idris Elba. Kathryn Bigelow's film builds a great sense of tension early on, but it soon fizzles out making no kind of impack whatsoever.
