📚 I love reading. Science fiction is my favorite, but I’ll read just about anything that sparks curiosity or expands my brain. My TBR could qualify as a fire hazard🔥 and yet, I’m always happy to add more books. Send recs! 📚

For those of you who were keeping up with the mass market mess, here is a more informative article.

Trade paperbacks cost only 30c more to make and are priced $18-20 now, where mass market paperbacks didn't sell at $12. So... there's your answer. It's about margins.

My #TBR tower has decreed: Red Paint by Sasha LaPointe is next. Sumi, my most literary of cat gods, has already curled up in approval. #PNW authors are, apparently, her genre. 🐾📚✨

#January Wrap up: 8 books, zero genre loyalty 😼 #StoryGraph challenges yeeted me across literary dimensions, but #Murderland left me for dead. #PNW true crime that rewired how I see my own backyard. 💀 History doesn't whisper here; it stares. Still side-eyeing my neighbors. 📚💥 #Booksky #JanuaryReads

Up next: The Cat Who Saved Books because after diving into the PNW’s darkest true-crime corners, I need a literary palate cleanser served with purrs and paperbacks. If it has cats and books in the title, it’s basically required reading. 📚🐱
1. A short story collection in #translation
This means the collection should have been originally published in a language other than English.

"It seems like every few years, you could write a whole new book on gravity."

James Riordon, author of "Crush: Close Encounters with Gravity," recommends his favorite books on this peculiar force—from the equations needed to understand it, to a funny book about what it's like to live without it:
Gravity
Since the 17th century, we've been aware that the force that causes apples to fall from a tree is the same force that holds the planets in the sky, but we still don't know everything there is to know…
