So Doom Scrolling is a thing, and Hope Scrolling is a thing, but I think Schadenfreude Scrolling is my favorite.

I'm watching an Adam Savage video and he's got the holy grail just sitting in the background.

Every now and then, my brain will just feed me a line from a cartoon or a show that was meant to be a tongue twister and I'll just say it out loud as the answer to a question.

What do you want for dinner?

There's a small but real chance that for the next 10 years my job title will just be "Professional Guy Who Tech Bros Stole From"

A local town has a mayor named Tingle, and his preferred candidates in Tuesdays race had a great poster.

It feels genuinely strange to be able to look at social media this evening and not feel my soul curling up like a paper doll in a blast furnace.

A while back, I was lucky enough to get a chance to curate a webcomic bundle for storybundle and this was a key part. It's been a joy seeing these characters in my timeline since then.
Anyway read my comic XD www.supercellcomic.com

I think it might be funny to keep track of the things I've had to look up while writing this novel. Discounting my own established lore, I've looked up:
- The ingredients in green goddess dressing
- How long does it take to make French Bread Pizza

Since NaNoWriMo is No Mo', I'm starting this thread as an accountability thing. I will list how many words I did yesterday, each day, until I hit 50k.

Yesterday I did 5,106 words, for a total of 5,106 in the book so far.

I'm doing this. It's a rare opportunity to see me outside of my loathsome writer-hole.

Based upon the experiences of my friends who write erotica and draw NSFW art, that means payment processors should want to have nothing to do with ChatGPT.

This was open in a tab so I watched it again. Imagine if this song and scene was in Pixar's Cars. The movie's plot is already basically toy story with appliances. This scene with all of the character development of Cars would ruin the psyche of a generation.
So, do they still make children's movies that fill the viewer with unquenchable existential dread? Or was that just for my generation. Youtube just fed this to me and resurfaced some deep psychological scars. Now you can have some too!

I feel an (unearned) special kinship with the Lackadaisy production I skeeted about yesterday. Part of it is because I'm friends with or an acquaintance of may of the people in the production. But also, back when I was rolling in the dough, some of the same people worked on things for me! (1/3)

One of the increasingly common side effects of AI is spam emails written in such a way that it APPEARS they have read the book want me to buy marketing for. Most of the time, these are books that came out before 2022, since these are the books that were stolen in their entirety and processed for AI.

An actual statement I made to my therapist:

"I'm bouncing back and forth between Eeyore and Piglet, but I'm shooting for Pooh."

Oh, to be befuddled, stuffed with honey, and wedged in a hole.

I've mused in the past about the fact that Frollo's horse from Disney's Hunchback looks more severe and evil than he does. Today, the following question came to my mind.

What would be funnier:
- A villain with the happiest, most friendly horse possible?
- A hero with a downright demonic steed?

Contaminant Six (Free-Wrench #6) by Joseph R Lallo The fug that poisoned the world has struck the Wind Breaker crew. After years of daring escapes and dangerous capers, it was only a matter of time before Captain Mack’s crew felt the sting of the toxin that blankets their continent.
