I want to popularize a term of art for this particular litfic genre trope: the Sad Boner Professor.

Currently Me, this is the ONE TIME as a Canucks Fan I want to see Marchand absolutely goon out on Miller and Tkachuck Brothers. I want to see Canada walk away with the win and idk, maybe Europe and Canada should start their own hockey league. Just a thought.

I'm listening to Bitter by Awaeke Emezi and as we continue to discuss and recommend books that should be purchased and read due to threat of being banned. I would absolutely include Bitter in that and it's sequel Pet. These are must reads for High School imo.

One thing I've come to realize being in CanLit spaces for almost a decade now, is that Canadian Genre fiction always gets the shittiest end the stick and often when they are given a chance to shine during award season it gets dumped on my Elitist's CanLit readers. #booksky #canlit
