I mean how can you expect a national political reporter to not fall for that?

@mattyglesias.bsky.social is poisonous and needs to get outed as a contrarian centrist shock jock like his idol Chris Cillizza

I hope all these farmers are begging in the street this time next year
From California to Iowa to Idaho & more, farmers are hurting — & many of them voted for "mass deportation." Those votes created fear & despair in the very immigrant communities that worked to keep *all farms* viable. Their votes now fuel ICE's thuggery & lawlessness.

The only times the Times has actually written about Portland have all been to perpetuate right wing rhetoric

Sorry but you think there are going to be elections upcoming?
There is a massive overinterpretation of the 2024 election results in the media as being some huge pro-Trump swing. 2 out of 100 people net switched from the Democrats to the Republicans.

Just wait. There is going to be a big swing back to the Democrats in the upcoming elections and midterms...

Food causes 22-34% of climate change.
But it only gets 4% of the media coverage.

Why? Neglect. Misunderstanding. And a hell of a lot of greenwashing.

Is this going to be a part of the abundance agenda now? Will there be an Ezra Klein podcast to blame democrats for not caving in to Trump on abolishing mail-in voting?

I would have settled for everyone not working hard to elect him

What a stupid way to frame this. You are pretty much the reason why we stand to lose democracy

Good, they can take their shitty sugar stained coffee to the sun belt where it rightly belongs.
Talking to folks inside and outside of Dutch Bros yesterday, my sense of things was:

1) There may have been nothing Oregon could have done to keep the HQ. The company wanted to be closer to its big markets, in a major city with more corporate talent.

2) That said, Oregon didn't try.
Dutch Bros will move HQ from Oregon to Arizona
The drive-thru chain ranks No. 2 among Oregon's most valuable businesses, trailing only Nike.
