Been a while. I've been on quite a journey this last couple of months, wildly expanding my metal palette. My list of favorite bands has completely changed and expanded quite a bit. It's been an amazing exploration with tons of great recommendations.

Road tested: Scorpion EXO Optima jacket.
Replacing my Texport jacket I used in the winter was a daunting task and while the Scorpion might not be as toasty, it’s certainly more versatile. Even still, I only felt a cool breeze at 80 MPH in 36 Fahrenheit. It felt nice! Welcome to the arsenal!

My oldest jacket in my arsenal is getting retired. This is from when I bought it 7 years ago and here’s the replacement. I’ve had great luck with Scorpion EXO products, this new jacket will have big shoes to fill.

Tire update: It’s fucked. One of my techs in the shop told me it’s very dangerous to ride right now.
Motorcycle has to stay at my work for a couple of days until my new tire arrives. Should be back up and going on Friday, but still…it sucks. 😭

My motorcycle is a 1986 Yamaha FZX700 Fazer. Some fun facts:
- Yamaha created this from a 750 to combat a US import tariff on 700+ cc engines
- It’s a 20 valve inline 4 mounted at angle, leaving room for carburetors to sit up top.
- Its nickname is “Baby Max” due to similar styling to the VMAX.

I could have easily gotten tired of being buried in X and invested a bit of my disposable income to be more visible. I said I would never give them money and I'm happy knowing that I was able to stand my ground. They will never see a penny from me.

For the Bomb Rush Cyberfunk people, you may have seen the Floor is Lava videos or some of the earliest Score Battle videos. That was me. Very few people have seen this new skin, but when Floor is Lava 5 finally happens, everybody will know it. Just be on the lookout.
