They had literally everything go their way for 14 years

They witnessed the destruction, Austerity, Brexit, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss

And yet, they snipe from the sideline

They tear down

They destroy

They're never, ever happy

In normal times, the President of the United States posting an obviously racist meme about a former President would be a sack-able offence

No doubt, Nigel Farage will be popping up to tell us how this is definitely someone else's fault

I've been thinking about this for a while now.

It's all rather sad that brilliant pieces of work like this are not published in books and journals.

Instead, they exist on a website surrounded by ads, will be replaced on the home page by tomorrow, and disappear from search results within a month

I’m so looking forward to in 20 years time when I can answer the question of “has mystery hour ever been cancelled?” with “well there was that time when everyone who was silent for 2 years decided to be outraged by something that happened 2 years ago” and collect my 👏

It would be great if the media could replay all those clips of politicians being outraged at Keir Starmer appointment of Lord Mandelson back in December 2024
"Starmer didn't pick Mandelson in spite of his Epstein connections… He picked him because of them."

Would he have made the same choice if Kamala Harris had won?

"Absolutely not", says @lewisgoodall.com.

Perhaps when Nigel Farage praises the good old days, what he actually means is the days before screenshots and Google searches
Nigel Farage tells GB News that Keir Starmer's decision to appoint Peter Mandelson as US ambassador shows his judgement is "seriously wrong" and he should stand down as Prime Minister.

Here's what Farage said when Mandelson was appointed

It’s a slam dunk

The victims might never get justice, but we can disinvest from Tesla and delete x right now
there is no conceivable context in which a message from Jeffrey Epstein saying "the girls and I are going to see Elon Musk at Space X tomorrow" isn't extremely damning.

Trump sues in billions
If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

Democracy dies in oligarchy.

1/ Trump may of course respond to this by freaking out and issuing all sorts of tariff threats.

However as with giving up Greenland I really don't think the EU can afford the precedent of a criminal investigation at the member state level being unwound through threats to tax US citizen purchases.
