It wasn’t just Brown’s uber-efficient three-level scoring display, or that he created quality chances for his teammates, as he has all season. It was following up his text to Joe Mazzulla by clamping Kawhi Leonard.

In Brown’s eyes, it sent a clear message.

It’s fuel for a fire that has turned low points into the act that precedes evolution. Saturday, it led to one of the best performances of Brown’s career.

Fun back-and-forth right now between the Celtics and Clippers. Here, Jaylen Brown attacks downhill against Harden, draws multiple defenders, and kicks the ball out to Pritchard. He makes the extra pass, and Simons buries an open 3. Beautiful possession.
