Last night I literally mentioned to my ex wife that it’s shocking that Jonathan Richman never made a Christmas album.
Back when I was on staff at a print newspaper, I came into an elderly lady that I didn't know. I forget the full context. But she reached into her purse, and pulled out a clipped, neatly folded copy of a film review I wrote and said she liked it so much she wanted to carry it around with her.

My kid is learning songs from The Bends on guitar and when he plays and sings them it's hard to describe how moving it is to me.

It is very on brand for me to finally fall in love with an indie-rock band (Big Thief) on their first album to get a mixed reception.

I don't get angry nearly as often as I used to but one thing that gets me worked up every time is how each device now requires a different cable, and sometimes adapters.

I put on a pop classic I hadn’t heard in ages to take my mind off my divorce and forgor it’s the mother of all divorce records lol. Hits different than when I was in my 20s.

It's genuinely incredible how Jonathan Richman has this singular muse that he's chased from writing about borrowing his dad's car as a teenager to contemplating his impending death as a 74-year-old

I've heard more Christmas music this year than in recent years and it's easy to see why we've collectively settled on the Mariah song as THE song--it's far and away the best one out there, full of momentum and energy and sexiness in a world of dreary Silver Bells and White Christmases.

I hate to bring up Phish twice in one day BUT…taking college level biology and anatomy after a lifetime of fandom—I never missed a question on the golgi apparatus or axilla.
Here's a question I've enjoyed asking on various social media platforms. What are vocabulary words you have learned from songs? For example, I learned the word "raze" from REM's World Leader Pretend.

Something non-Phish fans don't get: the sheer number of dreams that I've had that involve Phish concerts in some way. Not as annoying as it sounds, although I sometimes think they should count towards my stats.
