Likes Star Wars and guitars. Views are usually someone else's, stolen and repackaged as my own, in order to sound cleverer than I really am.
One of my favourite Zakk Wylde performances.

Planet Rock doing 3 great successive albums. Listener picks Metallica. If he'd picked any 3 from the first 4, definitely. 3 from first 5, acceptable.

He picks Load, Justice and Black album! I mean, dude, Master of Puppets is right there!

The “Ed Davey is obsessed with Farage” takes are weird.

A) The media is obsessed with Farage
B) If the next election looks anything like the polling, it will basically be a progressive/populist bloc election. Labour won’t be Davey’s enemy. They’ll be his path to govern.

"Why is Ed Davey spending so much time talking about Farage?" asks news channel which spends so much time talking about Farage. Are they worried about the competition?

Sky News platform Farage at every opportunity, that provokes a response of disproportionality from a much larger party being ignored even during their conference, and then Sky News claims "he's living rent free in Ed Davey's head".

Why Ed Davey is taking the fight to Farage - despite the Lib Dems and Reform sharing few voters
Ed Davey has increased his attacks on Reform, as he defines how the battle for British politics is shaping up.

By this logic Reformers* should be ensuring their social group contains an overwhelming majority of non-Reformers. Excluding people from their social circle.

*not voters because nobody's voting on anything at the moment, that's just misdirection on the part of this post
It's got to the stage where if 'you don't know anyone whose voting for Reform' you need to broaden your social circle.

Or, perhaps, reflect on what it is about your behaviour that means your friends don't feel able to be open with you about politics.

No more not being able to hear us. No more Owwww! No more going wild tonight. No more LOUDER! No more going fucking crazy on this one. No more still not being able to hear us. Let the madness...

I'm thinking whether you are for or against Reform, putting them in a position where they have to work for the needs of a community with ideas and strategy probably is something we could welcome at some level.

Cats in the Cradle was just on the radio, but I was distracted doing other stuff, and now it's finished I feel remorseful I missed it.

We're in some sort of paradoxical state where free speech is seen as crucial, but no content could be seen as harmful. Either you can be led to form opinions on what you see and read or you can't, but you have to choose one.
Elon Musk has posed as a champion of those poor bereaved families in Southport

but the killer watched a violent video just before his killing spree *on X*

and Musk is refusing to take it down despite numerous official requests from UK & Australian authorities

This the right room for an argument?
yes please to more right-wing leaning folk, so long as they're sane, some (respectful) disagreements would liven this place up a little

The interesting thing about this is that Reform *is* Farage and everyone in the UK knows this. Which means two things. 1) They're not giving up Farage, that's effectively impossible 2) Musk would appear to be completely misaligned on who/what Reform are.
Turns out that a man who entirely baselessly and bizarrely calls a British minister a rape genocide enabler and tweets random conspiracy theories day and night might neither be the most stalwart nor reliable political ally.

Just seen a picture of QOTSA from 2002. Reminded that it was its own supergroup featuring members of Kyuss, Nirvana and Screaming Trees. Saw them at Glastonbury with Grohl on drums, seem to recall by the time the tour came round he'd been replaced.

Sky News reporting president will lift martial law. Country asks what does this mean for Wallace. Developing story.
When rebels took Aleppo, Wallace remained on the Sky News top slot. He's been displaced today to number two by events in Seoul.

So the news pecking order in summary:
- South Korea
- Wallace
- Syria

I wonder what Reform would do with £100mn which would make them more likely to be voted in anyway? They get endless free publicity already, it's not like they need to get their message out.

Just thinking about the current government's track record, and remembered the previous government once contracted a ferry company with no ferries that had terms and conditions from a pizza delivery website.
