Got on Bluesky yesterday to read thoughts on recent political developments.

Read a post by a tech worker calling for everyone to *spend 30 minutes a day thinking about better product development.*

It was such a misplaced LinkedIn-style self aggrandizement I had to log off entirely.

Would love if Hertzler’s storage shed company in Ovid, NY would stop harassing me with three calls a minute. Not sure why I’ve been chosen for aggressive sales tactics today.

This and the ability to safely go 100mph means I’d only take a plane for the international trips.

All of these plans struggle because health care and prescription costs are set wildly high in the U.S. compared to other countries. For these systems to work, we can’t allow charges like $800 for hospital ibuprofen. Without caps on costs, these plans will always end up in the red.

Flight attendants just asked our plane if a passenger named Young Hacker was on board, which—how is that his legal name?

A difficult but important read. Taylor Cadle was raped repeatedly by her foster father while aged 9-13. She reported it and a corrupt investigation by police did nothing. Then she heroically recorded her own rape to convict him. Incredible work by @raeoflion.bsky.social and @julialurie.bsky.social

Christmas can be a depressing holiday. Behold—Your aging parents! Your personal failures! Eat some sugar and enjoy your physical decline. Your brother, who never tried at anything, is doing so much better than you at life. Toast to another year of your mediocrity. At least you’re still alive.

I had to check to see if this is real (yes) and they do in fact have a place on the website to ask and answer consumer questions.

Has anyone tried #Freefry, #Qobuz, or #Deezer for music? Curious to hear reviews.

Really enjoying The Mavericks' Hey! Merry Christmas! album, which my parents were shocked to learn was not a band from the 1970s.

That’s right kids, get ready to feel the acute pain of writing furiously for hours in a tiny booklet for your exams. None of you grew up doing this and spoiler, it’s gonna hurt.

When I was in high school the only #coffee I had available at home was was instant, so that’s what I drank daily for four years. Now my mom has a grinder, a French press, and a double lidded airtight container for beans. She’s definitely gone further than I ever expected!
