Anyone have any idea when/if @radicle.xyz will support having a simple web ui to allow contributors who don't want to use the CLI to at least open/comment on an issue? That (+moderation) seems like the biggest blocker to larger-scale adoption.

It’s really a shame how much this guy got flamed. The original design of BlueSky was entirely around neutral infra (that was the entire point of having “labelers” for moderation)! This community has lost its way, it’s quickly trending towards another Mastadon mess 😢.

I love winter. My skin got dry enough that the it cracked in the fold of my toe. I now have a 1.5mm deep hole in my toe just because it’s cold outside.

You’d think it’d get easier after losing four grandparents but somehow the fifth is even worse.

“The reason SPAs became the default wasn’t because they were better. It was because, for a while, they were the only way to deliver something that felt fluid – something that didn’t flash white between pages or jank the scroll position.”

It's time for modern CSS to kill the SPA
Native CSS transitions have quietly killed the strongest argument for client-side routing. Yet people keep building terrible apps instead of performant websites.

Once a month? That sounds amazing.

The app logs me out randomly every 1-3 days or so. I usually don't bother logging back in for a week each time...

I remain rather perplexed by tariff coverage that just assumes blanket tariffs the president made up will stick. The only court ruling so far was rather scathing in saying “hell no” (and it was a summary judgement on the merits, not a TRO or whatever).
What’s your take on the courts throwing out the tariffs? I know you’re an economist, but of the legal analysis I’ve seen folks seem to think the tariffs won’t stick. The CIT already ruled (in a rather scathing opinion) that blanket tariffs aren’t allowed. The appellate court hearing is the 31st.

Why does bluesky insist on logging you out after a month? Do you want me to not use your app? Cause this is how you get me to not use your app.

Today I watched two New Yorkers ask a plant store clerk if they offer help repotting. Like, paying someone else to put your plant in a pot, with dirt.

When my wife’s home: damn, this girl rolls around too much, keeps waking me up, I need my own bed to get some real sleep.

When my wife’s traveling: what even is sleep? Is it even physically possible to sleep alone in a bed?

@free.law according to your website, PACER is free at a “courthouse public access terminal”. Do such things exist which would allow someone to plug in an external hard drive and run some scraping code? Asking for a friend.

I don’t really understand why anyone bothers to (try to) contribute to Linux anymore. It’s basically Android-style open source at this point - the code is out there but outside patches aren’t accepted (except for drivers from a few select manufacturers).

Even trivial bugfixes get rejected.

It’s weird that society is now at a point where we can pick (some) traits for our kids (including biasing towards height/attractiveness/intelligence!) but we’re not bothering to talk about it.
