My dogs went to the dog spa today and my gentle grey dog was sent home wearing a pink tutu collar/mini-cape. I need you to know this because it's been a bright spot for me today.

Hahaha, just when I thought I was done adulting, I had to give my two daughters hair cuts. At least they look cute!

Doodling at next level!
I did those with 6 color crayons, one a day, with the morning coffee. It was so fun.

I did a lot of adulting today. Took my daughter to a birthday party, my son to coffee with his friends, the oldest son is having a sleepover tonight. My partner and I filed taxes, and we have to pay. 😭 I filled out next year's FAFSA, too. Time to play Sims 4 and disassociate!

Some unfortunately bleak news from the Department of Education today. With the abolishment of DoE at the top of Trump’s agenda, federal oversight on book banning in public schools will be jeopardized.

I wrote a 2K+ scholarship paper on my struggles as an autistic transmasculine person with ADHD. I mentioned my family of nine people, my sobriety, my work with children and persons with special needs. I'm left wondering if it will be accepted in the current political culture? What do you think?

Saw my therapist this morning. She removed the fog of doom from my brain with some serious thought reframing. I've got this. You've got this. We've got this. We will not let anyone take our freedom from us while I am still breathing!

It doesn't get said enough, but it takes an incredible amount of courage to crawl across the broken shards of an entire patriarchal heteronormative cisgendered social structure to stand as your true selves in the face of ... everything that entails. Especially right now.

I'm proud of you. 💜🏳️‍⚧️

I think it’s really important we identify the companies that are doing the right thing and reward them with our business.
NOW: More than 98% of #Costco shareholders have just rejected an anti-DEI measure

The attempt to force Costco to audit their #DEI work was by an anti-inclusion lobby group:

"The proponent's broader agenda is not reducing risk for the Company but abolition of diversity initiatives." - Costco Board

sincerely: transitioning was the greatest decision I've ever made, and if you want to do it, you should. tell some people you trust. find a doctor. be the person that makes you happiest. it's hard but I've never regretted it. I am who I was always meant to be.

US women in 2025:

Get long acting birth control, don’t delay the divorce, make sure your finances are in order and you have cash on hand, make a “go bag”, make a list of trusted contacts, make sure your passports and IDs are up to date. What else?

(Obvs, I’ve been reading Handmaid’s Tale. 😬)

Okay, so I tentatively submitted Cats, Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables for a final project for my theatre class. Three of my favorite musicals. Prof said Phantom and Le Mis are "too large scale." I resubmitted Cats, Much Ado About Nothing, and Peter Pan. What would you have submitted???
