Just had a discussion with a kid who kept making paper poppers in class. After struggling to get through to him about how annoying it is, I finally asked if he goes to church. He said yes. I told him, "If you wouldn't do it while the preacher is preaching, don't do it while the teacher is teaching."

Six years later, and I am still obsessed with Taylor Swift's performance of False God on SNL. The outfit, the vibes, the immediate recognition and for the sax player, the sexiness coming off of her in waves - it's all just perfection.

Yesterday, as I was driving home, I saw a billboard for a strip club. It said "Bach. Parties" with some other stuff as well. I thought in my head, "Why are they having a Bach party at the strip club?" as in Johann Sebastian Bach. I quickly realized it was shortened for bachelor, but wow. My brain...

Lake effect snow kept many of my students home yesterday. Today, they were back and it's like having two Mondays in a row. They are always wild on Mondays! Middle school teacher problems! 🙃

I can't wait for the day Congress doesn't look like a senior living space and more like a place filled with younger and more progressive mindsets where actual governing gets done. Let's make that happen in the next 6 years, please!

I am glad Kim Davis can go back under the rock she came from, and I am glad gay marriage is safe....for now. It's still a bumpy ride, folks.
Really glad the Supreme Court declined to hear Kim Davis' bullshit case on gay marriage, but I do think they’ll eventually hear a challenge to Obergefell. Like Roe, it's a long-term goal of these people to overturn it and ban gay marriage again.

Who else will be taking part in the economic black out over Thanksgiving weekend? I think now, more than ever, this is needed. They clearly don't care about any of us.

I can't stop laughing at how dirty they did Sabrina in this picture. 🤣

Decided to make some gourmet breakfast sandwiches this morning! They were DELICIOUS!

Just saw an anti-Taylor Swift video claiming she is in cahoots with the orange one because of the WH use of her music on Tik Tok. The comments ranged from "the ballroom is being built for her and Travis" to "I think Tree Paine is gone because she is destroying her fandom with this album." Oh boy...

I consider myself an expert about baseball - particularly the Milwaukee Brewers. What I hate is when I talk to men about it and they either "man-splain" or barley listen then come back days later to say "I listened to sports radio explain and it makes sense now." Just repeating EXACTLY what I said.

While I am grateful for the glass ceiling Nancy Pelosi shattered as the first female Speaker of the House, and for giving us one of my favorite political gifs (her clapping sarcastically), I am more grateful she is calling it quits. The rest of the elderly members in Congress should follow suit.

I am really excited for Christmas! I just ordered a coloring book for my gf made up of pictures of us and her family. I can't wait to give it to her!

Who has a breakdown/analysis of "The Bolter" on here? I was listening to it this morning, and it got me thinking about how this is going to play out. Thanks in advance!

Why don't reporters ever ask DT "why?" as a follow up? They ask if he has a plan, what is he doing next, etc. It's never followed up with "why?" I guarantee he will never have an answer for that. Still, it needs to be asked every time imo.

What a difference a year makes. I feel so much more hope today than I did a year ago. Yesterday's elections went the way it needed to, and I hope it was a preview to the midterms. Hot damn, was it a good day yesterday! And, I live in Wisconsin where no elections happened. Proof we are still united?

Today's elections have given me some hope for next year. What a great day!

Come on, NYC, Virginia, California, and New Jersey (and any other place I didn't list!) Don't fumble this election like the rest of the country did last year! We need these wins desperately!

I listened to "But Daddy I Love Him" on my way to work today, and I forget how much that song trolls the general population. It's hilarious! One thing I can't help but mess up in that song, for some weird reason, is I hear "me and my wild boy" as "me and my white boy". I'm ridiculous sometimes. 🙄

I know she is saying these things to get re-elected, but I am glad MTG is speaking up and calling out the ridiculous games the GOP is currently playing.

Ugh, Dodgers. Blue Jays were a hell of a team this year. Should have won the whole thing.

Until next season...

Really proud of my Halloween shirt yesterday!

A year ago today, I saw Kamala Harris speak in Milwaukee. That may have been the last time I truly felt pride and joy in this country. People from all walks of life and backgrounds happily came together to cheer on the perspective of a bright future. Now, it all just makes me so very sad.

Today, my biggest strength was surviving the school day in a middle school on Halloween. My least favorite days to teach are Halloween and Valentine's Day. Both are torture as a teacher! Too much candy. Too much drama. Too many hyper kids.
