of all the atrocities these emails likely allude to, it's still amazing that 'elites' write awful things *in emails*. so above the law, so convinced of their rectitude, so conditioned to impunity.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Just to be clear there's no fossil fuel source that has a trajectory remotely close to this improvement.
Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

This clip will be forever burned into my brain. When @sanders.senate.gov told them they would be killing 51,000 people with their vote and they did it anyway. It was like watching him beg for mercy at a public execution.

The NSW Police could have stopped it. They didn't want to. Someone should ask them why.
It's no accident that Nazis rallied in Sydney. Police waved them through — and now Minns wants to punish us all
The existing law in NSW is more than adequate to have avoided the images of Nazis outside state parliament over the weekend.

Cops aren't the solution to racism, they're the problem.

It's already a crime to incite hatred based on race, but the cops didn't care - in fact they approved the Form 1 for the rally!

There are no exceptions, no matter what is written in the legislation, the parameters are so vague doctors are too scared to intervene. See comments of obstetricians & gynecologists.
The ACA already has hyde amendment stuff built in.
They can only cover cases where its an emergency.

But if Republicans want to send us direct payments instead of subsidizing the ACA, they cant prevent us from using that money to pay for abortions.

I know this is an obvious and old point, but it still shocks me how quickly the culture of the GOP has come to defined by the absurd personality type of the "toad-licking, ass kissing alpha." Amazing that they've built an audience that finds such deportment appealing, rather than disqualifying.
