writing this here because this is a pretty big change. as of today, i have officially been made redundant from the company i've worked at for nearly 8 years.

the writing's been on the wall for some time - close friends will know that i've struggled with my work immensely due to autistic incompatibilities with retail and customer service, which has resulted in breakdowns and writeups. at the start of this year, i finally formally asked my manager and supervisor about making changes to accommodate for my autism - this never happened. in july, my hours were suddenly cut from a full time 5 day week to just 2 days per week, and despite pleading from almost everyone on our retail team, it's been kept that way with no sign of the situation improving.

you may have noticed over the past few months that i've been pushing merchandise stuff on Ko‑fi a lot more and even recently launched a subscription - this is the main reason why. i've also been seeking other forms of help where i can - universal credit has been very helpful in this regard. being made redundant also means i will get a bonus lump sum payment, though because of the minimal hours i've been working, it's not an amazing amount.

the next couple of months should be okay, money wise - after that, i'm not sure. there's a couple of plans in place but they're all very uncertain and wibbly - mainly, looking for part time work and applying for more benefits assistance. i have no idea if i can get either, the first due to the volatile job market and recession, and the second due to qualifications and evidence, but i'm sure as hell going to try.

if you would like to support me during this tumultuous time, the best ways are through either buying something from the Ko‑fi shop, or signing up to my rabbit club subscription, where you can get exclusive bits like blog posts and an archive of sticker bits. i am also grateful for donations, though i would much prefer you get something from me in exchange for your money.

to the people who have bought anything from my shop over the past couple of months, or signed up to the rabbit club subscription when it launched last month - you've been helping immensely with keeping my spirits up and providing support while i go through all this, and i cannot thank you enough. i do apologise that i haven't been able to share much art publicly recently - on top of the weather being Sub-Optimal for sticker activities, i sprained my wrist super bad a couple of weeks ago and have had to let it heal back up. i have managed to start drawing comfortably again over the past couple of days, so there'll be some new stuff on the way soon.

hopefully things get better and brighter sooner rather than later. fingers crossed.

i don't want to seem like a prick but i do feel like people are having a mass panic with discord right now over something that is very easily bypassable using shit like garry's mod or any videogame with a somewhat realistic face. also telegram and signal are completely different apps
