Yesterday the motor that powers Low Service Pump #4 at the Monroe Water Treatment Plant was successfully removed so it can be serviced. This 700 horsepower motor is one of four that help move water from the intake tower on Lake Monroe to the treatment plant.

With extreme low temperatures in the forecast, CBU wants to remind customers to take simple steps now to prevent frozen pipes and service interruptions.

City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) is preparing to complete essential overnight infrastructure work that will temporarily affect traffic on S Rogers Street. Beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, CBU crews will relocate a fire hydrant on S Rogers Street between 1st and 2nd Streets.
