and include residential buildings ie cvl groups owns more than 11000 bldgs in Cda (actually bragged about it), put lipstick on a pig then double or triple the rents - the hedge funds REITs are the reason for explosive rental costs across Canada in recent years.
Hedge funds should not be allowed to own anything that falls under a generous definition of basic needs (so: water, air, electricity, housing, food, agricultural lands, parks but also voting machines, public transit, libraries, newspapers, education, and art).
