While we are away I was supposed to leave Alice in Denmark and do a quick trip to Ukraine. She insisted that she come. I’m never going to stop her from doing anything. I’ve been in dangerous situations with Aggie but I’ve never been frightened before today. Out of Ukraine now.

I have to hand it to Alice. We’ve been back off honeymoon for a week and in Denmark all weekend and she’s still keeping the rest of dry January. I feel I need to support her endeavour. Then again this is Denmark so it’d be rude not to try the local beer. 🍺

Just having tea with Alice’s cousin then he’s taking us to Jægersborg Dyrehave where he is living at the moment. It be makes our place look a bit ropey.

And there it is. All your fault, Minnesota, that there will be no midterm elections....

Oh what a night it was. Had a great time meeting more of Alice’s family and various others. Spent the night in the most opulent of bedrooms and was blasted by the most fantastic shower. Had a great breakfast meeting, part work part personal. Today we play in Copenhagen watch out all you mermaids.

Absolutely buggered. Early night I think. Early start tomorrow. Flying out to Denmark to see family that couldn’t make the wedding.

Finally got my office up and running in some old stables. Thanks Struan for such a great finish and the underfloor heating… I’m just going to slide about in my socks.

Sat in front of the fire with a book and my iPad with a large scotch. Wife sat with her book and a tonic water. When we got back off honeymoon she decided to do dry what’s left of January and has felt iffy since. Some would say it’s the alcohol leaving her system. Obviously I would never say that.

So thinking about it I no longer have an x account nor yet an Amazon account and I’ve never been anywhere near Meta or Sky. Unfortunately I’m stuck with my iPhone unless anyone can suggest an alternative and I won’t ever use google now I use Ecosia. What else is there we can rid ourselves of.

Registered with a new doctor today. It always amazes me when registering how much information you give and how much information they’ve retained when you go to see them in a couple of years.

Reason one of why you should never worry about your little princess when you’re away.

Out early this morning with the drone. (Pic does not include drone). There’s an injured stag up the Glen so we’re off to have a look. Well I’m having a look. My little Dane is getting in some practice for Greenland.

Our village school is small and perfectly formed and has 14 children under the age of 11. Must be something in the air up here. They have like many schools heavy demands on budgets as do parents. I

Well it’s been a while but neither of us have changed much. This man has walked 30 miles through the night to get here because he’s got something that one day will make him a Royal Marines officer like his dad. He’s joining the staff here for a year before re applying.

I was really pleased Alice told me she would be taking my name. Tradition matters to me. It matters to my my proud Dane too. So why does she keep bursting into fits of giggles when I tell her we have a strong oral history in the family?

The government has allocated £200m to preparing troops to deploy to Ukraine. That 10x more than Luke Littler’s deal from a darts company. Something very wrong here.

As a result of my postings this morning I had a lovely DM from someone I’d lost touch with. This resulted in an email from her son who has just failed to get selected for RM. Told to go away for a year. He wants to come and see about coming here for a year out. Not seen him for 20 years.
