My funny, kind, wonderful grandpa died this morning.

SSPE is a progressive disease with poor prognosis occurring several years after acute measles. Most patients die 5-10 years after diagnosis. There are treatments but no cure. We may see more cases in the coming years related to the measles outbreaks. #sspe #measles #vaccination
