Floods formed by stored clay & soil for flood defences in Rye. Today 400 Lapwing, 12 Shelduck, 15 Shoveler, Wigeon & Teal. Recently Greenshank, Redshank, Avocet, Curlew, Dunlin, egrets... even unintended & unsophisticated 'habitat creation' attracts birds.
