When Archie first came to me 6 years ago, he wanted so badly to be my buddy BUT he was very very bitey and quite unpredictable with said bites. It took years of patience and training and work, but about 1.5 years ago, we got to him almost never biting and also LOVING snuggles.

I've seen people saying they simmer their homemade chicken stock for four hours, and it's delicious.
Why four hour? Why did you stop there? Cowardice? A crisis of faith?
I don't really see flavor development until at least hour 8, and I generally go to 12 or more if I can manage it.

I’ve got Archie the conure at the vet for a nail trim today. I’m in the lobby, and he’s in the back with two techs, and I can hear him shrieking his displeasure.

Both of my conures like to grumble and yell at one of my housemates when they come to the basement to do laundry. I reminded Archie in particular that he talks a lot of shit for someone who weighs 65 grams.

I had leftover pork tenderloin that needed to get eaten, so I made some bao after work Fri night, sliced the pork thin, and warmed it up in a sorta-char-siu from-the-pantry sauce.
These things fucking SLAPPED. I ended up with 14 bao and me and my two housemates destroyed them.

Why why WHY do I see so many recipes saying you can caramelize onions in 15-20min? Like my claims that I thrive in a fast-paced environment, it is FALSE.
Are they a) confused about time b) confused about caramelization or c) lying to make the recipe seem faster/easier to make?
