I know I cite it all the time but I will not forget the NPR story mid-2022 from an upscale VA suburb, asking shoppers who said the economy was "bad" what they meant and the answers were all "too many help wanted signs", "not enough registers open", "everyone expects a tip"

Become a philanthropist, and build things for the public good, offer fair wages, and maybe folks will avoid being seen as fodder for the blade. More billionaires really need to learn that lesson and quickly.

So many of the grievances coming out these days boil down to "you should have been nicer to me."
If you listen to Andreessen and Horowitz's podcast on why they supported Trump it was literally "we asked to meet with Biden & he wouldn't. But Trump's kids would invite us to dinner."
