On a frosty winter morning, a hermit thrush stands on a branch that looks like an upside-down U. The bird is angled away from the viewer and has the brown tail pointed up--revealing the bright white butt feathers below. The tips of the wing feathers are slightly splayed and a dark brown/black color which frame the sides of the butt nicely. You can barely see the white eye ring and a few speckles on the side of the chest. The background is bokeh winter forest and blue skies.

This morning walk was full of hummingbirds. This female (Anna's or Costa's maybe) is sitting on her nest. It was fairly close to the ground which surprised me. #Birds #Nature #Photography
