It also seems to be very upsetting to people to have their worldview crumble even if something better is waiting right there. Marsh has written about that a lot, what she calls shattered endoreality and how dangerous and traumatizing it can be.
I think part of the problem is that people don't WANT to hear about it. They can't envision a world without things like money, or borders, or class distinctions!

I’m currently working on a new reading from Heather Marsh’s book Abstracting Divinity. Chapter 6: “Martyrs, tyrants, saviors and sirens” has some interesting vocab as it relates to power structures and energy flow, which can all be seen in the present unraveling of sociopolitical dynamics.

Just because I have a rule that anytime I engage in conversation about Curtis Yarvin I make a point to bring up Heather Marsh.
Marsh's philosophy is in direct contrast to Yarvin's. The two are often compared, so I won't rehash, but her writings can serve as an antidote for those looking for one.
