Reading the new Gabriel Sherman book on the Murdochs and this made me chuckle

The new Lord of the Flies has an epic orchestral score. But my word the colour saturation is turned up to 11. Had to adjust the settings on my TV to save my eyes.

Come for Ranveer, stay for Akshaye!

The best and most memed performance of 2025 is now on Netflix - Akshaye Khanna as Balochi crime boss and terrorist enabler in Dhurandar.

The more I think about #Dhurandar the more I love it. Akshaye Khanna dancing into my veins.

More seriously now that the M:I franchise is over is the mantle of big budget well-done action now in the hands of Bollywood?

I continue to be delighted - particularly by Egg’s ribald song.

I remember thing zero about the books. Maybe the spooky doomy prophecy is what inspires Egg to be a good king who WILL be missed by the smallfolk?

God bless Rob Reiner and all who sailed in him.

This was just delightful silly fun. I think we’re all just Elton John - dreaming of our chance to sing along with Tap.

Surprised to see Is This Thing On? Getting so many three star reviews. We really enjoyed it at LFF!

Surprised how much I admired H is for Hawk. Like Sorry Baby another rare film that shows the power of female friendship. And a sensitive but never manipulative portrayal of grief. Claire Foy superb as always.

Kate Hudson’s Oscar-nominated performance in Song Song Blue is good, but I don’t get the hype. That said, it's by far the best thing in this deeply mediocre musical biopic.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms started well. Not sure if it’s the whistling but this gave me a happy times Butch and Sundance vibe. I liked the lowkey melancholy derping around. If you haven’t read the short stories don’t watch the “next time on” preview!

Gyokeres is fine bossing lower table teams but has been found out in the upper Premier League. Now Kai is back he will be our Cup guy. Fans were so happy when we got Gyok and Eze and writing angry letters about Noni - but, that dipshit penalty aside, he’s been the best signing bar Zubi.

I watched #Sirat and what a pile of steaming horseshit. Pretentious wank. Jumps the shark. All the outrage. Banging soundtrack though.

Peter Bradshaw - with whom I rarely agree - said this was the most over-rated film of 2025 and I agree. Once you get Monty Python into your head the show is over.
