Watching the #CarolineFlack doc on Disney. Didn’t even know who she was when she was alive. Desperately sad. A bit like Diana - used by the media and using it - also like Diana cutting herself and ongoing mental health issues - also like Diana lots of arsehole men using her.

Bored as fuck watching FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS. No humour, no chemistry between the leads, hackneyed action scenes & scoring, unclear why it's in a retro-Jetsons world, would have more fun to just watch reruns of The Jetsons.

Pleasantly surprised by BALLAD OF A SMALL PLAYER, despite what felt like a raft of mediocre reviews. Edward Berger's follow-up to CONCLAVE has style to spare and a haunting story of addiction and redemption.

Loved The Roses! No surprise that the script was written by Tony McNamara who so beautifully mined marital bickering in his under-rated and hilarious TV series The Great.

Thoroughly enjoyed #BeingEddie on Netflix. Hagiography but nostalgic and great to be reminded of his absurd talent, incredible range, and how he not just inspired but created the opportunities for the next generation of greats.

A tragic waste of a towering Russell Crowe performance in James Vanderbilt’s condescending, tonally jarring film about Hermann Goering’s trial.

Loving Death By Lightning. We need more men with mutton chops called Roscoe. And Matthew Macfadyen is so so good at playing dickheads.

Just watched #TheRoses and absolutely loved it! Positively surprised. Wonderfully dark sweary British humour. Not as brutal as the original. Want the house.

Finally finished #Anemone. Stand by my decision to walk out. Fuck all happens for two hours then it goes all magic realist and bonkers. The end.

Finally finished #Hedda. I stand by my decision to walk out. A lot of bold choices being made by Nia DaCosta so she shows courage. But those choses made me feel as though I was engaged with the characters. All style and blammo.

#WickedForGood - obviously I am not the target demographic for this. The first part had only one decent song but did make me cry as we established the core relationship between Glinda and Elphaba at the OzDust ball. This part suffers for qbeing a downer and having to keep them apart for most of it.

Superficial but Goring was also much thinner by the time he stood trial. Presumably Crowe did not want to slim down. Also I have to check but I dont think Goring WAS the highest ranking Nazi. Wasn’t it Donitz?

#Nuremberg

#Nuremberg - trite, condescending, tonally jarring, 30 mins too long, and Rami Malek deeply annoying as always. I had feared that Russell Crowe playing a Tcherman would be embarassing but he was superb. The heart of the film is Leo Woodall and he is good. The British barrister was done dirty.

Finally got around to reading the first edition of EE72 and there’s a great interview - Clooney asking Julia Roberts about #AfterTheHunt.

I continue to be intrigued by the film.
