Emotional and inspiring. It's maybe strange to think of talk show hosts as heroes but Jimmy Kimmel was brave last night.

I'd rather live in a land of strangers than be surrounded by racists I know.

I've read a lot of dystopian novels and biting political satires, but in none of them did the world's largest economy start a trade war with penguins.

The reason Trump hates Zelensky is that his courage and dignity remind him of what he lacks.

Watched Longlegs the other night. Seeing as I'm a great, big scaredy cat, it perhaps wasn't the best move.

This is good to see. There are so many areas where we can learn from Norway. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Norway on track to be first to go all-electric
Nine in 10 new cars in the country are now battery-powered, and it aims to hit 100% later this year.

I am most definitely a hurkle durkler.
Word of the day is most definitely ‘hurkle-durkling’ (19th-century Scots): to linger in bed long after it’s time to get up.

I love when radio phone-ins try to address hot topic political issues. "Want to know how to solve the problems in the Middle East? Here's what Jack from Arbroath thinks."

This is depressing. PM appears to rule out youth mobility scheme with EU on ground “freedom of movement is a red line.” That makes no sense. It falls far short of “free movement” because it only allows individuals to come for a limited period & does not allow them to settle in UK or EU member state
Oh come on Labour - so depressing to hear Pat McFadden say UK has no plans for a youth mobility scheme with the EU. We have schemes with NZ, Australia, Canada, Japan, Iceland, Uruguay & more - only reason not to have one with EU is fear of right wing press. Such cowardice @bbclaurak.bsky.social

Dr Wazir completely right here. What paper is that from? It's utterly idiotic. My wife is a consultant paediatrician and I have friends who are GPs. They went through all the same training before deciding on their specialty and are expected to be experts in every area of medicine. Huge pressure.

Only just joined but this place really is a balm. It's got the functionality of Twitter and ability to follow lots of interesting folks. But without the algorithm shoving the opinions of Neil Oliver, Lawrence Fox and Musk down my throat.
