Yes! Harvard rejects Trump's demands. This is very good news. The Trump administration's demands in its latest letter were so outrageous (see below) that this was the only thing that could have been done. www.harvard.edu/research-fun...

A huge anti-Erdoğan protest tonight in Istanbul, defying a four day national ban on protests, to denounce the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu.

"Break down those barricades without harming the police. Take to the streets and squares", Ozgur Ozel, an opposition leader, told protesters.

Yo, JMCs

I have an idea for how to share new research while social media fragments..

In Nov/ Dec, I'll do weekly Substacks on new JMPs on gender.

If you'd like me to discuss your JMP, do share.

This would only be a nice, supportive discussion. 😊

This was such a great conference on migration and development organized by Patricia Cortes! I learned a lot by discussing @andreavelasquez.bsky.social paper on how temperature shocks affect international migration and got to meet great people.
Going back home after two days full of very exciting research on migration! Thank you to Patricia Cortes for hosting such an amazing conference and to all the organizers, discussants, and presenters. I hope to become a regular attendee 😊 #EconSky
