Oh yeah! Speaking of game design, RPG Architect is legit powerful, perhaps too powerful because it's not nearly as beginner friendly as RPG Maker... but if you put in the effort it isn't that bad. You basically have to craft the UI from scratch, and stats like HP are called a "Store".

When it comes to smaller game projects I still want to do, I had a cute and hot idea that evolved from a prior idea, a feedee kobold knight who is bottom heavy and gets huge. She wields a crossbow. This can easily fit over a GDevelop template for a wave based Survivors style roguelite ~

Okay, the plan is set into motion. I'm going to fucking forget the art phase for now and just focus on systems and trying to get some kind of minimum viable product going. It's going to still be painful, especially if I want to start making refined pixel art. Ugh.

Really, getting hung up over pixel art and trying to even make prototype stuff across 2 weeks is painful. I can't even work towards some kind of minimum viable product, let alone a test map. The RPG Architect community is at least full of incredible, patient, and sweet people. <3

Now that I am certifiably crazy, I need to start with my weakpoint that I am getting hung up on. Pixel art. It is clearly the biggest thing keeping me from my dreams. I love pixel art, I want to get good at it even if I say I don't want to "relearn art" all over again.

I'm reuploading this. I still want to make this a reality. I still want to make video games, including RPGs like this one. I really wish I knew why I still want to do this despite my emotional suffering and pain. I can't tell you why, besides that the feeling of excitement and fun overrides it all.

After sleeping for another 7 or so hours, I wake up still wanting to make games and still wanting to do it. Seriously what the fuck is wrong with me.

Yeah, I give up on my game dev journey. It's been too damaging for my mental health and wellbeing. I have to quit now because the one thing that is inspiring me and motivating to even make a game is an impossible dream. I don't feel inspired to make anything "smaller". It's over.
