Just one or two more parts. Thank you all so much for the support throughout this process. It's helped keep me going and even allowed me to build up my savings more.

Just... I need to figure this out, how my art interacts with games. Because I love video games, and I want to make them. This is the first time in my life that I think I found something else I can do with my life, on top of all the weird yet wonderful stuff I do as a furry for you all. <3

I don't even draw a skeleton for my pixel art, or draw a normal drawing then scale it down, then try to draw pixel art over it... even if my drawing becomes a bunch of black pixels. There is probably a way to scale my art down to such a tiny size but still be able to see the lines.

But if I want to continue doing this thing that clearly excites me, is clearly fun for me, and clearly inspires me... I have to get over the art hurdle. I'm an artist, it shouldn't be that hard to do, even pixel art. I know, after watching a few tutorials, that every pixel counts.

You hear from all sorts of aspiring game devs about how they suck at art but want to make games... but I am pretty solid as an artist, and I HATE doing art for games because I think it looks awful. Especially my pixel art. I can't stand drawing on a tiny canvas. It is agonizing.

The key idea that drives me forward is that learning this stuff as hard as I can will make it easier to do in the long run. Same with GDevelop. These things seem hard and impossible at first, but I gotta try. I can worry about the art assets later, which is my first big hurdle strangely enough.

I just finished doing user interfaces, I spent a whole day on a tutorial but it was DAMN FUN and I'm surprised how engaged I was in it. It's a bit hard, but it ensures that no game you make in RPG Architect will have that "RPG Maker feel" that is either good or bad.

In RPG Architect, the main stats of your characters are also called "Core" statistics, then experience points are "Growth", and character level is "Rank". I still haven't gotten to the part of the tutorial series where these stats will even get applied to battles. XD

I still have all of my notes I wrote down while learning GDevelop. I'm not going to abandon that engine. I'll still make games with it. It's just a matter of when I'll start. I decided that if I'm struggling with my big project, I can focus on a smaller thing for a day or two and then try again.
