West Ham signed him as a free agent on a one year contract. If we could buy out the remainder of the contract we would have an experienced PL goalscorer in our squad to share the workload or cover for DCL and Nmecha. A relatively cheap insurance policy for the remainder of the season to my mind

In light of Delaps shove on Khusanov today which proplelled the City player into the advertising hoarding should PL clamp down harder on such actions given there have previously been career ending incidents with players colliding with the advertising. (Not a fan of either team)

I owned a 1981 registered Inca Yellow 1500HL identical to the one in the brochure for a number of years. A lovely car but as you say really feeling it's age when compared to the competition it faced at that stage

My mother-in-law owned a Y10 from new. She absolutely adored the car. Unfortunately it did dissolve through rust. A garage owing/racing enthusiast friend bought it off her. It lives on in the next generation of his family as the engine still powers a trials car to this day

Visited last summer. It is spectacular and well worth taking time out to see if you are in the area

Remember reading a road-test of one in one of the car mags I used to collect in my teens. I was seriously smitten by it. I really dug the styling in general and the pillarless doors in particular

Until very recently I regularly saw a silver one driven by an elderly woman in my area. I hope both are still going strong

My first car was a maroon 4 door Cavalier 1600L with a very tasteful😉 red interior. Very basic not even a radio. Replaced it with a metallic green fwd Ascona hatchback with an even more tasteful green interior

My father had a number of 340. He originally had 343 auto followed by 345 manuals and finally the 4 door version. I think all his had the 1.4 engines much as I hoped and encouraged him to get a "much cooler" 360
