On Monday, I spoke out at the Town of Matthews Board of Commissioners meeting about the three commissioners who had alternative ideas for how to make the budget balanced. Forward to 4:40:00. Yes, that’s a pain to do, but I respect the town’s right to the video.

It takes strong leaders in this moment to speak out! Not leaders who bow down to a leader determined to get rid of The Others! All of our leaders, especially in the Democratic Party and those Republicans who put country first, need to speak the truth and protect all who live in the United States!

Yes, the gerrymandering in North Carolina is horrible. Yes, many of the congressional districts are hard, if not almost impossible, to come close to winning. If there’s no real candidate to be a formidable opponent to the incumbent, of course they will lose.

I was just thinking, not only do local elected officials have their official duties these next few years, but I think they will have the duty of building an aware base for the state and federal elections! It’s regaining a positive base to return voters to the Democratic Party.

For those saying they hope Bishop Budde will be alright. She’s a female Bishop. Like all female leaders on their way to leadership I am sure she’s had moments in her career that have been extremely difficult. She will get through this like those moments.
