We can manage problems or we can solve them.

If we stick to the environmental talking points, we’ll manage our way into oblivion.

We are not going to reduce carbon through lifestyle choices alone when more than 1/2 the world is living hand to mouth & the only way out for them is industrialisation.

"If we don't allow politicians to converse in a way that isn't reduced to simplicities, that leaves a vacuum of complexity filled by populists who sound like they are talking with substance"

A big win of the modern right has been to close the space in which nuance can even sit.

Why be complex?

3 word slogans and rule by meme culture is convenient for everyone. Win-Win-Win-Win!

Dear America (ok, more specifically, American social media users).

The UK is only remotely near civil war inside Musk’s head.

Take a break.
Breathe.

From Hemel Hempstead, UK which is not on fire. But let’s not talk about climate change.

Murdoch cleverly kept his power behind the scenes and with some plausible deniability.

Musk can't help himself so at least we know what he's thinking. He's a political child and he probably has no idea he's just whacked the orange hornet's nest.
It’s so funny that if Elon kept his mouth shut and wrote checks like the Adelsons, Trump would give him whatever he wanted like any other grifter, but because he’s like this we’re heading for the most obvious divorce since Britney and K-Fed bsky.app/profile/your...

Elon Musk, interjected: “Not officially.”

Netanyahu responded: “Not officially. OK, so you’re the unofficial president.”

"George Bailey’s sacrifice is genuinely inspirational - community, solidarity, and kindness can and should be celebrated. But the film’s underlying message is also problematic: that we must rely on morally exceptional individuals to hold back the forces of monopoly capital."

Still brilliant though!
