The fact that pharmaceuticals are over priced is a big issue. But the point here is there is no safe vetted generic so the compounded products could be anything. And some people have died from them. And Makary’s telemedicine company sells compounded GLP-1s
I found this because of reddit. There's major misinformation. Its time to be data driven. These drugs cost $5 to manufacture and they are charging $1000+
They attacked Shkreli for the same profiteering. Compounded use the patented process to produce the same drug.
