The neighbor’s dog, Cindy, was willing to elope
with my dog, #Saturn, who after all then said, „Nope!“
Of course, he had promised her Saturn’s ring, LOL,
meaning it to be some paw-sized bling-bling. oh well,
until I let him look at it through a telescope.

When life is rough & everything seems 2 crumble,
there is 1 thing I never ever doubt- it makes me feel #humble;
the unconditional love & sincerity of my pup
– of ANY pup really – it always lifts me up.
No matter what, dogs celebrate life with U, always ready 2 rumble.

I cared for many dogs in my life, some small,
some big, and as far as I can #recall,
most of them were rejects, too sick or too old, and had opted
out, not knowing anymore how to dog. I adopted
those anyway. They were wonderful and loved me most of all.

1 day I came home 2 growling & nagging
instead of joy. The situation was hostile & seriously lagging
any joy. As if my dog had lost all #memory of ever bidding
me a happy welcome. Suddenly the pup barked, „ Just kidding!“
Giggles followed, plus the usual dancing & wagging.

My neighbor’s frenchie liked to pretend that he
was a Parisian lap dog in the 19th century.
Helped himself to snacks. But on whose say-so?
The pooch had no regrets, just claimed it was the #boho
way of life, and that treats always were complimentary.

This lil 1 kind of only lived on probation.
Got sick & died, 3 months old. No #consolation

I raised a little crow, and when it was time to set her free,
she stayed with me, willingly, not in captivity.
I feared for her because of my other pets
sleeping in the house as well, dogs and cats.
But they were protective and sweet, the epitome of #chivalry.

I adopted a senior dog, gray, deaf, half-blind, with a sad past.
So he could have a home & feel loved at #last.
The 13-year-old learned a lot, like ASL & fetching sticks.
Yes, old dogs *CAN* be taught new tricks!
His final years, the lil affenpinscher had a blast…

My good boys Bobo – a mix of different setters –
and Snappy – a chihuahua – were love bugs, not attackers.

Chronic illness can befall you in stealth
mode first, then it’ll get worse and worse with your #health.
A chihuahua is not much of an assistance dog, but still sort
