Our house and magical village where we spend summers on the lake was spared, just barely. The fire was a block away.
5 years ago today, the East Troublesome Fire - which went on to become the 2nd-largest fire in Colorado history - started. It led to 2 deaths, 555 destroyed structures, and devastation in Grand Lake.
Also a stark reminder that fire season in Colorado is year-round.

Boob Squish Day. Mom died a year and a half ago from breast cancer and my SiL had it twice so this isn't a date I miss. I'm also one of the lucky ones who squishing doesn't hurt. I'd do it regardless. Don't forget to do the squish soon!
