How is it possible to find peace and acceptance with a chronic health condition like #type1diabetes?

I believe acceptance-focused processes, rather than chance-focused approaches (CBT - not really my bag) are the way to go.

👀 Eyes down! This is for fun, but also to remind you that:
1) it's not just you feeling this way.
2) that there are ups and downs (+ not just in our glucose levels). Some days things will feel easier + some days we'll be on the 🎢 This is a normal, albeit difficult, part of living with #type1diabetes

For profit healthcare, including private health insurance is an absolute nightmare.

Eldest child was DXd with type 1 diabetes at age 9. She's 22 now. To my shame, I cheered when I saw the assassination of UNHs CEO. Our system is great if you never use it.

Please hold on to the NHS.
