Just did my grocery shopping and left almost in tears. The cashier was a young mother who lost her benefits bc of the shutdown. Her husband is laid up with a torn knee. She's begging for extra hours - NOT a handout. She's worried about how she'll feed her kids. Damn the Republicans.

Republicans don't care if people are hungry or don't have health care. They don't care if people suffer, so they could hold out forever.
Democrats care, which is their Achilles heel and the GOP depends on the empathy of dems to get their way.
As angry as I am right know, I'm still glad to be a dem.

After the elections, I got to thinking about the reactions. Mamdani came out fighting; Pritkzer has been fighting; Newsom has been fighting and then Obama came out telling folks to calm down. Much as I love him, I want a fighter right now. Never tell a woman to calm down.

My sister, who is on a very low fixed income, just found out that her health insurance will cost her double next year. My husband and I will help her out, but we're retired, too. Thanks GOP for making our lives harder. And don't get me started on food prices!

If today is going to be another "Trump=God" day, I'm glad I have Netflix to fall back on. BTW, wasn't this the same plan President Biden presented to Bibi, who rejected it? Okay, Trump, how about bringing peace to this country instead of chaos?
