Unfortunately, the fan-translated version is incompatible with the kentie's exe. However, it's good news that by following kentie's modification method, we've fixed the subtitle display for cutscenes at 1920x1080 resolution. #DeusEx

As far as I know, most of Aspyr's localization work is done using AI/LLM, so I can already foresee that the Deus Ex Remastered release will be a flop.

My review of the CN localization of Soul Reaver 1 & 2:
The entire Chinese text seems to be translated by AI. Many sentences are very rough and the connections between sentences are very incoherent. They cannot be compared with the beautiful English text at all and need to be polished.

I haven't checked all the texts yet, but I apparently found a translation error where they translated Melchiah's "Do you believe for a moment that our Lord would risk his empire upon an upstart inheritance?" into "Do you really believe that our master will entrust his empire to the new forces?"

Dorian's sexuality isn't all he's about, but that's certainly how some viewed it. When the character was announced in 2014, his being gay was mentioned as the last of a number of points, and the instant response from some gamers was to act as if we'd called a press conference just to say THAT. 🙄

Honestly, while I think giving feedback is fine and the team at Saber did a great job, it makes me cringe to see the alt-right see changing the design based on feedback as some kind of culture war victory.
